Amanda and Eli’s Mount Tamalpais engagement in San Francisco gave us the perfect combination of mountains and beach, full of moody fog and laughter. We all agreed that we wanted a little adventure. Mount Tamalpais was a place we knew would provide us with beautiful landscapes.
Amanda and Eli met in college riding a train to Santa Con. After talking on the phone with Amanda, I could tell they just wanted to have a good time and laugh together. We bonded over a mutual obsession with dogs, craft beer, and being outdoors. I was inspired by their fun-loving nature and I knew these two would be open to getting a little weird for the fun of it. I came up with a lot of fun prompts to bring out how playful they are together.
A San Francisco Engagement at Mount Tamalpais
As we were driving up Mount Tamalpais, we found a golden field with moody fog was floating above it. Right off the bat, Amanda and Eli sang songs together and giggled on top of a moss-covered rock. I knew they were my kind of people. Afterwards, we went on a short hike into the woods and found one of the most unique looking trees we had ever seen. It was hard to get to, but we enjoyed the beautiful trees around us as we jumped over logs making our way to it.

Exploring Marin County Beach
After we explored the forest we all got in the car together and drove down to the beach. We made some good memories and laughed about inside jokes. At the beach we played in the sand dunes and climbed on the black rocks.
I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding later this year in Colorado!
