About the Couple

Andrea and Paul’s vibrant Rancho Las Lomas wedding was an absolute dream! The Hispanic-influenced styling paired with the gorgeous gardens of the Rancho Las Lomas property was the perfect combination. Although this wedding took place on a rainy day in Orange County, that didn’t stop Andrea and Paul from having the best time! This wedding was so full of life and rich with their heritage you could feel the passion down to every detail and moment. Andrea and Paul met in college. Soon as Paul met Andrea he was absolutely smitten with her effortless confidence. Ever since then they have been inseparable since the day they met! The first thing they searched for when planning their wedding was a unique venue. They knew they wanted a wedding location that would reflect their Hispanic heritage. As a result, they found Rancho Las Lomas and knew it was the perfect fit for their big day.

The Venue

Rancho Las Lomas is a stunning private estate surrounded by lush gardens and giant oak trees offering a variety of unique accommodations. First off, there are beautiful bungalows scattered throughout the property perfect for those who want to party and celebrate right! The Hacienda-style buildings have been restored using recycled materials such as old doors, windows, and tiles. I loved the unique hand-painted tile murals from Portugal that decorated the entire grounds. Don’t worry if you need help finding your way back to your bungalow at night the 100-year-old Pasadena streetlamps will light the way. This property has a unique California Spanish vibe, which was perfect for their culture-rich wedding style.

The Styling and Design

I loved that they chose a bright and fun color palette for the florals and had fruit and Mexican papaya scattered throughout the tables to add texture. Every floral arrangement was completely unique. Bright blue velvet napkins, different colored goblets, and beautiful yellow menus made up this fun and festive color scheme for the wedding. They creatively displayed table numbers by painting them onto Mexican tiles. In lieu of giving their guests favors, the couple chose to donate to an animal rescue that was super close to their heart, which was the sweetest touch.

Even though there were some unexpected heavy rains, the planning team worked really hard to install a last-minute tent. Therefore they didn’t compromise their amazing design efforts. With some creative thinking by Stylish Details Events and Foxtail Florals, the wedding went off without a hitch! Emma Lynn cinema and I worked our creative magic together to capture this beautiful display of love and culture. It just goes to show that hiring excellent vendors who are experienced and quick on their toes is always worth it!
